Academics & Programs
At Page Middle School it is our mission to work towards having the needs of every student met to ensure that they have the best learning environment possible for academic success. This includes participation in a variety of class opportunities beyond core subject areas, including opportunities for band, theatre, chorus, art, and foreign language. Students also have access to participate in a wide variety of clubs and competitive sports. Our media center provides a great outlet for reading for recreation as well as participation in clubs and competitions. Our counseling department is proactive in sharing resources with students for common middle school concerns.
Take a moment to explore all of the ways Page Middle School seeks to reach the whole student during his or her three years in our building.
All students will take math, English Language Arts, science, and social studies and will be instructed by our educators using Tennessee State Standards.
In addition to these core content classes, students have a homeroom for attendance purposes, lunch, activity time, and study hall (PASS). Students will have a 3rd period, Flex period, in order to remediate and enrich learning at each student's level.
Page Middle students have a wide range of program opportunities to participate in before, during, and after the school day. Whether a club, sport, activity, or theater production, there is something for every Page Panther. There are opportunities for students to cultivate their unique talents and skills through the variety of classes offered.
Meetings for clubs are often announced at the beginning of 8th period PASS on the intercom system, as well as displayed on a scrolling slideshow in the cafeteria during lunch. The weekly principal newsletter also provides the most up-to-date opportunities for involvement. A student should enquire of his or her homeroom teacher for additional information.
